We are proud to share that Points 2 Success (P2S) has been awarded a Summer Youth Programming grant from the City of Columbus. This grant is part of a $28.2 million investment in youth programming across the city, with $8.6 million specifically focused on summer programs that help young people strengthen their academic skills, improve their health and wellbeing, and prepare for future career opportunities. These efforts aim to give youth the support they need to grow, thrive, and stay engaged during the summer and beyond.

Funding support was prioritized for programs serving vulnerable, at-risk, and underserved youth, particularly those disproportionately affected by crime, violence, and systemic inequities. We are especially proud that this grant will support our efforts in “Opportunity Neighborhoods,” where investment in youth programming can serve as a catalyst for long-term, transformative development.

With this grant, P2S will strengthen our Health 4 Wealth program, an innovative and holistic initiative that supports underrepresented youth athletes by integrating sports training, wellness education, academic support, and financial literacy. This funding allows us to continue making a meaningful impact in the communities we serve, helping young people build the skills they need to succeed both in athletics and in life beyond the game.

We’re honored to be recognized alongside more than 100 local organizations awarded the Summer Programming grant. It’s a privilege to be part of a group of organizations doing important, hands-on work to support youth across Columbus. This support allows us to continue building intentional, evidence-based programming that addresses both the immediate and long-term needs of the young athletes we serve.

We are grateful to the City of Columbus, Mayor Ginther, and the Department of Neighborhoods for their continued investment in grassroots efforts like ours. We especially want to recognize the support we are receiving from the City of Columbus Recreation and Parks Department, whose partnership makes this work possible. We look forward to expanding our reach and continuing to provide meaningful opportunities for the next generation of leaders, athletes, and changemakers.
